Encouraging Young Outdoor Enthusiasts

The Jack O’Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center is thrilled to announce its annual Scholarship Award aimed at encouraging young outdoor enthusiasts to share their experiences and passion for hunting and the outdoors. This initiative seeks to recognize and reward outstanding young individuals who demonstrate a keen interest in outdoor activities and hunting through their personal stories and experiences.

Scholarship Details

The scholarship program will award two deserving candidates with a scholarship of $1,500 each. These scholarships are intended to support the educational endeavors of young participants aged between 16 and 20 years, who exhibit a deep passion for outdoor activities and hunting.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Group: 16-20 years old
  • A passion for outdoor activities and hunting
  • An essay submission on your favorite outdoor or hunting experiences
  • Inclusion of three pictures related to your adventure story
  • Minimum of 500 words essay
  • Submission of contact information: name, address, email, and phone number

Essay Submission Guidelines

To participate in this scholarship award, applicants are required to submit an essay detailing their favorite outdoor or hunting experiences. The essay should be a minimum of 500 words and must include three pictures that capture the essence of their adventure. The narrative should vividly describe the experiences, emotions, and lessons learned during the outdoor or hunting journey.
